Week 1: Completed

This week has been a crazy one. Getting used to the schedule of summer class and work hasn’t been all that difficult, but finding time to do everything else I want to do is next to impossible! I am so thankful to have this weekend off!

So I am still absolutely in love with UNC and the class I am taking there. I find the material covered in biology to be very interesting, so that definitely helps to keep me sane. Since it is a summer class there is just a lot that has to be crammed into a short amount of time. It has been a little stressful, but I think I am handling it well. I had my first test yesterday and I am actually really nervous to get the results back. I really strive to excel in everything I do so of course my grade is going to be on my mind. I know, it is worrying for no reason. There is nothing I can do about it now so why be concerned? I just want to do well! I’m sure that’s all normal though. The lab is also enjoyable, there is just a decent amount of work that comes with it. The adviser wasn’t lying when she said this lecture + lab was going to feel like a full time job! I feel like I ran out of time to study for everything I needed to study for before my test haha.

The people in my class are so nice and I adore the professor. It is so nice to have people to have lunch with between lecture and lab! It was actually kind of nice – Thursday, my friend Erica and I took a break from studying before lab to go to the student union to watch some of the USA vs Germany soccer game and eat our lunches. The student union was packed! We ended up sitting on the floor by the tv (so many others were on the floor too) because all the seating was occupied. I just am so happy that I am feeling comfortable there 🙂

Between class and work this week I feel like I didn’t really get to do much else. There was zero time for the barn, except for yesterday after my test. The farrier was out so I decided to ride before it was Vinnie’s turn. Vinnie was in a weird mood. I can’t explain it any other way expect to say he was speedy and not really listening to his full potential. I ended up working him kinda hard, so when I was walking him out and then scooping poop from the arena he kept trying to lay down and roll in the sand. He was really sweaty!13 I thought it was beautiful outside but then at the end of my ride I started to hear thunder. Shortly after I made it back down to the barn it started to pour! 14

There were a few days where I managed to squeeze in a little workout at the Y before going to work. I ran one day and then targeted back and abs another day. 5

I also had my appointment with Mary on Wednesday and that went really well. We actually ended up talking about school and ways to make sure I am not listening to what others might have to say about their diets or nutrition. She gave me good advice on way to start thinking like a nutritionist! I will have another appointment with her in two weeks.

Let’s see… I’m trying to think of what else there is to share… Oh right, my parents left for Baltimore on Thursday. They have tickets to a few Orioles games. I am beyond sad that I am not with them right now. I loved Baltimore so much when I went there last summer and I wish I could be with them right now because I know they are having the time of their lives. Sometimes summer school happens though. What can you do?

This next week is going to be another jam packed one. Filled to the brim with lecture, lab, assignments and studying. I am going to try and squeeze every drop of relaxation and joy out of this weekend! I will be sure to check back in tomorrow before week 2 begins!

I’m in love!

Hi everyone! Sorry it has been a few days since I have stopped by to fill you all in, I have been a busy little bee!

I don’t even know where I left off… maybe Tuesday? We went to Chapel Hill for dinner and ate at Four Corners. My mom said her dad used to eat there when he lived in the area so we decided to check it out. We started with nachos and then we each got tacos since it was Taco Tuesday (cheap tacos). I got grilled shrimp tacos and I thought they were pretty good! I had a great time with my parents in Chapel Hll 🙂1 2 3

Wednesday morning I was up early to meet Bryan at the gym for our workout. I ate cinnamon cream cheese toast on the way in and then ran on the treadmill.4 5 It was a good little workout! We did our planks and then called it quits. I made a chocolate banana almond butter smoothie and a spinach scramble as my second breakfast.6 Then I quickly got ready for my appointment with Mary! It was a really good appointment and we covered a lot of ground. We focused a lot on healthy ways to deal with emotions when becoming busy. Instead of dropping everything and “sleepwalking” through life she gave me some good ways to make the best of every situation. She is the best!

I raced home and made a lunch and packed it up and headed out to the barn. The shippers were coming to pick Ray up and Renee was at work. She had no idea what time they would be arriving so I was out there for a while just in case they showed up. It was really hot out so I just gave Vinnie a good brushing and clipped him. Then I had my little picnic! 7

The shippers didn’t come until like 4:30 and Renee was back by then, but I stuck around to help out. It was so sad to see Ray go but he is going to a woman who sounds like she will treat him with extreme kindness!8

I had a quick snack and then did some prepping for school. For dinner I had sweet potato, chicken sausage and brussels. So yummy! 9 10

So my Bio class started yesterday and I absolutely love it! I had a quick breakfast before driving off.11 This class will definitely be a good challenge because it is cramming so much information into 5 1/2 weeks, but the professor seems amazing and I enjoy the material immensely. I even knew someone in my class! There was a girl who lived on my floor (in the dorms) freshman year at App who transferred after her freshman year and she was in there! So that was really nice to see a friendly face. Then I found out that my best friend from middle school will be transferring there in the fall as well! It is just so exciting and it is making my transition extra smooth! Plus is doesn’t hurt that this campus is GORGEOUS!12 I also received a few good luck text messages that made me feel warm inside. Then this one from my sister made me laugh 🙂13

Yesterday after my class I went to the Y to take the PiYo class. I got there a little early so I did 15 minutes on the bike before the class. Then after PiYo my boss joined me and we did a workout focusing on pushups. That killed us. After the Y I went to my mom’s school to pick her up and then we went to Whole Foods to grab our lunch. We ate it back at her school. I had quinoa with lots of veggies and chicken, fresh fruit and a salted caramel greek yogurt.14 When I finished eating I headed home and did a little baking. I made zucchini bread and then put a coat of finish on the wood for my bed frame. I also made a loaf of banana bread. For my snack I had pretzels and trail mix. 15

For dinner we had grilled chicken, zucchini and yellow squash, spinach ravioli and a homemade tomato sauce. Delish!16

After dinner took a much needed bath and then did some school work. It puts a huge smile on my face that I can say those words! I have school work. I am back in school and I love it!!! I had an almond butter sandwich and an apple for my bedtime snack.

This morning I was up early to make my breakfast before making the drive to Chapel Hill for my class. I had leftover squash with two poached eggs, my delicious zucchini bread with cinnamon cream cheese, grapes and blueberries, and a chai latte. Insanely good!17

Getting prepared!

Happy Tuesday everyone!

These past two days have shot right past me. They both seem to kind of blur together.

Yesterday I was up early to go to the gym with my mom before I headed over to work. We carpooled in and I was able to eat my overnight oats without having to drive haha. I had a sweaty, but good, run on the treadmill!1 2

At work I did a few tasks involving invoices and travel before focusing on getting more product up online. Every time I feel like I am catching up we get more product in and I have to start all over again! I enjoy doing it though. I had a banana and yogurt for my snack.3

For lunch I had pretzels, chicken salad, peppers, grapes and a cheese stick.4

After work we headed home and I had trail mix for my snack.5 Then I did some relaxing before cleaning off the wood for my bed frame project that I am finally getting around to doing! For dinner my mom made pasta, sauteed peppers and tilapia. I mixed my pasta and peppers with a little spinach and a dab of balsamic. Plus a sun dried tomato laughing cow wedge. It was all absolutely delicious! 6

We watched the movie Runner Runner and it was pretty good. I felt like everything was a little predictable, but it was still alright.

For my snack I had an almond butter sandwich and blueberries before calling it a night.

The original plan this morning was to meet my boss at the gym at 8 to workout, but he texted me at 5:40 this morning and asked if we could workout during his lunch instead. I had no problem with that! I was happy to sleep a little bit more. Then I got to see this goofball!7 For breakfast I had the overnight oats I made, topped with blueberries and walnuts, a pepper and spinach scramble and a chai latte.8

After breakfast I got ready to head over to Chapel Hill to get acquainted with the campus a little! I parked in my parking spot and walked over to the student book store to get my books for my biology class. Once I got my books I took a short walk to find the buildings my lecture and lab are in. Everything was close to my parking spot and easy to find, so I hope the rooms themselves are easy to find! I always feel much more prepared when I know exactly where I am going. That is always the stressful part for me! I am so happy to have everything I need and I am excited for the start of my first class as a Tarheel on Thursday!

Once I was done in Chapel Hill I went over to the Bulls to steal my boss. We walked across the street to the Y and got to work! We targeted our backs today and then did a few planks. I didn’t think this was a bad workout at all!9

After returning Bryan to the Bulls I headed home and then fixed myself lunch. I had a big plate of quinoa with taco turkey and cheese with carrots & salsa and grapes on the side. Plus a greek yogurt! Very tasty!10

After my late lunch I got to work on staining my wood! I ran out of stain though so I will have to get more so I can finish. I am trying to decide if I want to put another type of finish on it… Any thoughts???11

Now I am about to go have a little snack before I get ready to take my parents to Chapel Hill for dinner and exploring! Have a great evening!

Hi all, I hope you have been having a wonderful weekend! Mine has been rather busy, with a few moments of relaxation thrown in here and there.

Friday

I was up early to feed the horses before I met Bryan at the gym! It was arms and abs day. I used one of my apps to come up with the workouts. We went up to 10 on the arms (leaving out the pull ups) and abs and we only did one round of the abs. We are beginners haha!1 2 24 25

After the gym I had my second breakfast and then read for the rest of the morning.3 I finished my book and was kind of bummed that it was over. Quick lunch! 4

My mom and I went out to the barn in the evening and I got in maybe a 3 minute ride. There was a lot of thunder but I really just wanted to get him in the arena. We fed the horses and I took care of the sheep and gathered the chicken eggs. On the way home I had a kashi bar for my snack.5 6

For dinner we went to Oak Tree Tavern in the middle of nowhere just across the Virginia border. This place was so cool. My parents went there for their anniversary and loved it. There was live music and it is in an old plantation house so it is extravagant. I had the best grilled mahi mahi over rice and veggies.9 7 8 We had a great time, clearly!10

Saturday

Went to the barn early to feed and then when I got back home I made my breakfast. 2 poached eggs over veggies, oatmeal with blueberries and coconut, and a chai latte.12

My dad and I went to Lowe’s and I got started on my bed frame. We cut the board to the right lengths and then I used a jig to drill holes in each end of the board. I had a quick lunch before getting ready to go to Heather’s baby shower.13 I actually had a nice time at the shower! They had a very nice set up and I got to see an old friend, Corinne. The three of us have known each other since elementary school!14 15(don’t judge me for re-wearing the shirt I wore out to dinner)

I had a pretty bad headache the rest of the day so I tried to take it easy. I had a snack when I got home and then relaxed.16 For dinner we had grilled chicken, roasted veggies, green beans and sweet potato gnocchi with a sauce I created. The sauce I made was kind of a failure. Not really my favorite. Oh well, only one way to learn!17

Today

This morning I slept in until 8:30 and then I quickly got ready to meet up with Josh and Justin. We went to Panera Bread for breakfast before going to The Summit for the church service. The service was good, but I didn’t take as much away from it as I did the other time I went with the guys. After church we spontaneously played mini golf. I was in the lead up until the 8th hole… I finished in second though!18 19

For a late lunch back at home I made myself quinoa with sauteed peppers, leftover taco turkey, pepperjack cheese and guacamole. I also had a greek yogurt.20

After lunch I push mowed outside and worked up a good sweat. I came inside and relaxed for a but before fixing my snack and heading out to the barn.21

Vinnie was good, really lazy at first. Then halfway through my ride the little neighbor girl was screeching at the top of her lungs and Vinnie wasn’t exactly a fan of that. But it was still fine. Vinnie might have worked up the biggest sweat yet! I gave him a really thorough hosing off, and Ray starting licking water off Vinnie’s butt which was really adorable.22 23

Now I am about to go have dinner with my parents. I feel bad I didn’t really do anything special for father’s day, especially since my dad has done so much for me this past year! I am going to have to make up for it!

Superstition ain’t the way

Hi guys! So I have heard several times today that tomorrow is a big day for those who are superstitious. It is going to be Friday the 13th and a full moon. I can’t decide if I am superstitious or not. I think I am the type who kind of laughs in the face of danger, so I feel like absolutely nothing bad or out of the ordinary is going to happen tomorrow, but I am daring the world to make something happen. Does that make any sense at all? How are you guys feeling about this “big” day tomorrow?

Today was a pretty chill day (maybe leading up to a big day tomorrow??? 😉 ) even though I had to wake up early to go to the barn and feed the horses before getting ready for work at 9. So I fed the horses and when I got back home I jumped in the shower and got dressed before fixing a super fast breakfast. I quickly made a brussels and 2 farm fresh egg scramble, toast with cinnamon cream cheese and grapes. I took a yogurt with me as well for my morning snack. I think I have officially mastered the art of eating my breakfast while driving. 1

At work I mainly focused on getting more product up on the website. I also did a few other things in the store, such as tagging new stuff that came in. Since I didn’t have time to pack my lunch this morning I ended up walking down to Which Wich. I got a turkey and pepperjack cheese sandwich loaded up with veggies. It was pretty good!2

After closing up the store I headed home and then fixed my snack. I had blueberries, pretzels and almonds.3 I did a little reading before I headed out to the barn to do the p.m. feeding! Feeding the horses is so relaxing. I love it.4

For dinner my mom made peppers and onions and chicken sausage. I made a quick potato dish using my new veggie spiralizer. It was a delicious dinner full of wonderful flavors!5 Now we are all relaxing and enjoying the rest of the night 🙂 Hope you had a good Thursday. To all my superstitious friends out there, stay safe! First half of the week is in the books!

Wow… I haven’t posted an update in a while! I feel like I only really have a few things to mention from the past few days. Let’s see, I’ll start with Monday if I can remember that far back!

Breakfast was banana bread. 1I had a dentist appointment early Monday morning in Roxboro. It went well as always. Then I was off to work. It was a really good day at work. I mainly worked on getting product up online, but I also just had a nice time talking with my co-workers. They are such a fun group. For snack I had yogurt and a kind bar.2 My mom dropped off lunch for me. She got me a huge turkey sandwich from Whole Foods, along with fruits and veggies. 3

When I got home from work, the power was off so I had a yogurt and a WhatsoNutso bar for my snack before heading out to the barn to ride.4 Just before I was about to ride my parents showed up at the barn and said that they were going to go pick something up for dinner since the power was still out. There was a moment when some eating disordered thoughts crept into my mind. I was quickly going through all the options of takeout and labeling it as acceptable or not. I just couldn’t decided on anything that sounded good so I told my parents to just get something because they know what I like. I think Vinnie could pick up on my discontent a little because the beginning of the ride was a mess. He kept freaking out at one end of the arena and I probably was letting my anger control the situation instead of handling things in a calmer fashion. The ride got better though and we ended on a good note. Think I wore him out? Hahaha.5

When I got home later in the night the power was back on and I was surprised to find that my parents just picket up a rotisserie chicken, sweet potatoes and veggies. 6

So that was an interesting dilemma I found myself in. I guess eating out or getting take out unexpectedly is still a little bit of a sore spot for me to work on.

Tuesday

Tuesday morning I was up early to hit the gym with my boss! On the way in to Durham I had two slices of my banana bread.7 At the gym we did strength training, targeting our legs. Holy cow, at the time it didn’t seem like much but later in the day and all day today we sure were feeling it!

After our workout I came home since I had the day off and then I fixed my second breakfast. I made a spinach scramble using two of the farm fresh eggs from the barn 🙂 Yum! I also had some strawberries. 8

I read some of my book and then took a reallllyyy long nap haha. When I woke up I read some more and watched a little TV before fixing my lunch. I used leftovers to make a veggie, chicken and sweet potato hash that I had with blueberries, cashews and a greek yogurt.9 I relaxed until it was time for me to get ready to go have my appointment with Mary. I had a kind bar for my snack before going in to meet with her. 10

I had a really good session with Mary yesterday. I kept a food log over the past week and we looked at each day to see what percentages of my intake were coming from carbs, protein and fat. She told me that it seemed like I was falling a little short on my carbohydrates, especially since I am being so active. So we talked about things that might be holding me back a little bit when it comes to carbs and we made goals for myself. We also did a nutritional analysis on one of the days that most reflected my typical day to get a more in depth look at if I was getting the right percentages when it comes to all of my carbs, veggies, fruits, proteins, fats, vitamins and other nutrients. It was just an overall informational session! It was funny how last week we wanted to look at my protein numbers but it turned out to be my carbs that were falling short.

After my appointment I headed straight out to the barn so I could ride with Renee before it got dark. We went on a trail ride since she just wanted to do something light with G since she left today to go to a show! Jealous. Anyways, I was super impressed with Vinnie because I jumped right on him and went down the rode without warming him up in the arena or anything, and he was amazing! It was getting dark outside and he usually freaks out but he was so, so, so well behaved. I was thrilled 🙂 I helped Renee feed the horses and chatted for a bit before heading home.

For dinner my parents made roasted veggies and ravioli.11 Very tasty! I had a low key night and then had an apple and an almond butter sandwich before heading off to bed.

Today

This morning I was up early again to meet Bryan at the gym. He expressed his hatred of me since I made him so sore yesterday morning haha! On my way in I ate the remaining two slices of my banana bread. Today we ran on the treadmills for 30 minutes for our workout. I really had to push myself today, but it felt good when I was finished.12

At work all I did was put up product on the website. I got 20 women’s shirt completely finished. After adding all of the information on the website I had blueberries, greek yogurt and almonds for my snack.13 Then I went to take pictures of all the shirts in the video room. After I took all the pictures I had to edit them before I could add them to the website. I took a break to have my lunch. I had an apple and leftover veggies and ravioli. 14

When I got home from work I sat out on the porch swing for a bit and watched a storm roll in as I ate a kind bar for my snack. I was going to sit out there and read some but then it became extremely windy and it started to rain so I headed inside.15

Well, I think now you are officially up to date! I am taking care of the horses while Renee and Marty are at the show so I am off to feed them!

Where is this weekend going?

This weekend has gone by way too quickly. It probably feels that way because I have been busy working. Yesterday I spent the majority of my time at work getting merchandise put up online. It was a good day though, painless and productive haha.

Before work yesterday I whipped up a two egg and veggie scramble, a chai latte, english muffin with jam and almond butter and some berries. Delish! IMG_3270

At work I packed the last of the taco turkey mixture, peppers and onions and a sweet potato. Plus a strawberry Greek yogurt. 1

I left work at 5 and headed home. When I got home I relaxed for a few and had my snack before going out to the barn.2

At the barn, Renee told me all about the woman who came to see Ray. I am happy and sad to share that Ray has been sold and he will be leaving the barn in a week to go to his new home. This woman sounds like she is the sweetest, most caring person to ever walk this earth, so Ray is going to be well provided for and loved, which is a huge comfort to us all. He is a great horse so he deserves the best!3

After talking to Renee for a while I groomed Vinnie and got him tacked up. We had a great little ride. I think he was worn out by the end of it! It was really funny, Renee dewormed him before I tacked him up and even after his ride he was still untrusting of putting things in his mouth. I brought him carrots and he just would not eat them! After a few minutes I finally got him to eat one and then he was fine and gobbled up the rest. He is a funny one. 4

When I got home from the barn I washed up and got started on my dinner. I made sauteed veggies (I used my new mandolin slicer and my spiralizer) and black bean and cheese “chimis” with guac for dipping. It was a delicious dinner!IMG_3271

After dinner I decided to make a loaf of banana bread since I didn’t really have much else for my breakfast in the morning. I relaxed some more, playing sudoku and watching tv before I fixed a little snack of blueberries, Greek yogurt and almonds. IMG_3272

This morning I managed to sleep in and it felt incredible! I really needed it. I did some chores around the house before I fixed a green smoothie and banana bread for my breakfast.IMG_3273 I read for a bit as well. Now I am thinking I will go do a quick run before I get ready to head into work for the last game of the homestand! Hope you all enjoy the remainder of your weekend!

I wish I could sleep more!

Good morning! It is already a bright and sunny day here so even though I am up early, the beauty of the day has me feeling energized 🙂

Yesterday was a crazy day for me. It wasn’t that I had a million different things to do, but I felt like I was in a mad rush to do everything so that I would have time to do the other things. The night before I ended up going over to a friends house and there was a group of four of us who just played Xbox all night. So I didn’t get home until 1am maybe, and then I didn’t go to bed until after 2. I was up and out the door to go on a run by 8:15 in the morning. I wish I could get more sleep. That was one of my goals with mary and so far I am failing haha. Anyways, I went on a nice 5 mile run around the neighborhood. 1

After my run I threw together my breakfast. I am basically out of oatmeal so I went with an english muffin topped with raspberry preserves and almond butter, a two egg veggie scramble, berries and a Greek yogurt. Yumm-o!IMG_3204

After breakfast I worked on some things that I brought home from work for the online store at the Bulls. I love that part of my job! Once I finished with that I quickly whipped up something to pack for my dinner at work. Then I jumped in the shower and then was out the door to Chapel Hill. I needed to go to the Public Safety building so I could get a parking permit for my summer class that starts in less than two weeks. It was a success! I felt really rushed on time because I only had an hour and a half to get to Chapel Hill from my house, get parking, get my parking permit, return to my car, stop and grab something to take to work for my late lunch, and go to work. I ended up being about 10 minutes late but thankfully it wasn’t a big deal. I would have been on time if there were no other cars on the road. I think I hit every red light possible. Being late really gets me in “freak out” mode, so that is probably why it felt like such a crazy day. For lunch I had a ham and cheese sandwich and some fruit from Whole Foods. That was all I really had time to grab! 2

Work went really well. I did a lot more work for the online store. I brought my camera and laptop so I could take pictures of product and correctly resize them and photoshop them to put up on the web. I even got to work on some of that during the game! Which was a good and bad thing. Good because I was getting it done, bad because it meant I wasn’t needed all night out in the store (meaning it was not crowded at all for a Friday night). For my snack before game time I just had a Kind bar. My dinner was a sweet potato, onion, green pepper and taco turkey mixture. So simple and so delicious!3

I got home from work around 11:45 and fixed my snack (milk, pretzels, almonds) before calling it a night.

Now I am about to go get my day started! I woke up earlier than I would have liked, but oh well! I work 9-5 and I am really hoping to get another huge chunk of stuff put up on the web!

Hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday! I know I wish I could be up in PA right now with the rest of my family celebrating my little cousin, Mitchell, who just graduated high school!

Variety is the spice of life

Oh goodness, another day come and gone, just like that! Today absolutely FLEW by.

Early Morning Work + Breakfast

I was up early to knock out the rest of the work for my client before fixing my breakfast and getting ready for my little meeting at Starbucks. I finished up the 4th sample day. I feel like this is a good start for my client! For breakfast I had sauteed red pepper and spinach mixed with an egg and oatmeal topped with berries and shredded unsweetened coconut. A little somethin’ different. I guess I forgot to take a picture of it though, which is a bummer.IMG_3197

I had a great meeting with my client! I already have a few more other things to work on for her. I really hope this works for her because I can tell she is in so much stress. I had a delicious chai latte while I talked with her.

After my meeting was over I headed over to the Public Safety building at UNC to try and figure out a parking permit for my summer class and then for the fall. I basically didn’t have anything I needed with me to get the permit since I drove my dad’s truck… Poor old blue is in the shop. Then permits for the fall are based on a lottery, so I am scared I am not going to be able to get one. It’ll work itself out though. I made a quick stop at Bed Bath and Beyond to get a few gadgets with a coupon and then I headed home.4 I read for a while before I fixed my lunch. I made a sweet potato, brussels, broccoli and taco turkey hash with a laughing cow queso wedge. Plus berries and a greek yogurt! So delicious!IMG_3199 I had to switch it up from my normal chicken salad with pretzels, carrots and guac.

I did a few chores around the house before heading back in to Durham to get my hair cut by Danica at Amber and Dave’s house. I just got a trim, but I am already missing the length, even if it was dry! Haha, it’ll grow back though. I even held baby Asher for the first time today! It went a lot better than I expected. He is a good little guy.

When I got home I made a quick cheese quesadilla before heading out to the barn to ride Vinnie.IMG_3200 I had a very relaxing ride! Then I had a little fun with the barn cats 🙂 Vinnie was showing off his neck to try and get some treats. What a goober.1 3 2

Now I am going to go fix my dinner, but first I will quickly share my goals for the week that I made with Mary!

  • Stop being repetitive
  • Add back more breads or bagels instead of always having pretzels
  • No new “food rules” to help me cope with any stress

  • Get more sleep!
  • Make a food record for the week

So we talked a lot about each of those things because they seem to be factoring in to my eating habits and Mary wants to make sure that I am remaining stable with school starting up. She always thinks of everything!

I was going to have the day off tomorrow, but my boss asked if I could come in. I am definitely not going to turn down the hours! So I am going to go eat my dinner and prepare myself for tomorrow 🙂 Have a great night!

Working up a storm

Hello, hello and happy Tuesday! Or Wednesday since it’s pretty late. Today has been one long day. I should have slept in a little bit, but that didn’t happen haha.

Last Night

When I got home from work yesterday I had a quick snack of pretzels and guac before heading out to the barn to ride Vinnie! I had a great time as always 🙂1Doesn’t he look thrilled?

When I got back home I worked a little on some things for my new client. My mom made some tasty turkey taco calzones. Thanks mom!IMG_3195 Then I headed down to Evan’s to hang out with him and a few of his friends to celebrate his 21st birthday. It was a pretty entertaining night!

Today

This morning I woke up at 6:30 to work more on the things for my client before rushing off to get ready for work. On the way in to work I ate berries, yogurt and 3 tortillas with almond butter. It was the only thing I could think to throw together in a short amount of time!2

For lunch I had another repeat. Chicken salad, pretzels, carrots, guac and an apple.3

Work went well. I did a boat load of online orders and then helped my boss pick merchandise for the All Star Game, which was fun. I also did some restocking before I was off to have my appointment with Mary. Before my session I snacked on a kind bar while it rained. 4

My session went really well. We covered a lot of ground. So much ground that I will have to make a special post tomorrow to recap on it since it is late and I am tired right now!

When I got home I had to take Old Blue up to the shop so it can get checked out tomorrow since it’s making a weird noise. Back at home I worked more on menu planning/creating for my client before dinner was ready. My mom made roasted veggies mixed with potatoes, steamed broccoli and broiled tilapia. Very tasty! We watched the Lone Ranger and I multitasked and continued to do work. Now I think I am going to have a quick snack and head to bed so I can be up early to finish my work before I meet with my client!
